London City Launches www.londoncityaway.ca2008-12-09![]() Ryan Gauss, C.E.O. of London City Soccer Club, is pleased to announce that the club has officially launched www.londoncityaway.ca Ryan Gauss, C.E.O. of London City Soccer Club, is pleased to announce that the club has officially launched www.londoncityaway.ca , the new travel site for London City fans looking to travel to away games throughout the 2009 Canadian Soccer League season.
The new website was the idea of Wotif.com (www.wotif.com), a global online accommodation specialist who will be one of the major kit sponsors for London City in the forthcoming season. Wotif.com opened its Canadian office in June 2004 in response to the growing demand that the company was receiving from the North American market. Founded in Australia in 2000 Wotif.com is a global online last minute accommodation specialist with over 12,000 hotels and offices in 5 continents. The London City sponsorship agreement was the initiative of Brand GM James Coulbault who was looking for a more interesting and involved way of promoting Wotif.com to the Canadian market. "I have always been a football fan and I was thrilled when the opportunity to work with the most established team in Canadian soccer history came about. Coming from London England the team name instantly appealed to me and we were very keen to work with a family owned team that truly cares about its supporters. Wotif.com has been established on repeat business and I hope that the support of both our users and the London City fans will benefit both organisations." Gauss is also excited about the partnership; "This is a step in the right direction for the club, especially as the Canadian Soccer League is looking to expand out into Western Canada and eventually across the nation. London City - the oldest professional soccer franchise in North America - is very excited to be partnered with Wotif.com and hopes that our fans will take the opportunity to enjoy this top-class service."
