London City visited visited Milltown FC last Friday night looking for a second win and to add to its  already positive start to the early 2010 season.

Though there was a lot of momentum for City going into the game after a solid performance a week earlier against the Serbian White Eagles, Milltown FC struck first on a goal by Martijn Kuijpers at the 23rd minute mark.  A trend that continues to plague London City, as the squad have now been scored on first in every game thus far this season.

However, it did not take North America's oldest professional soccer club long to equalize. Tom Beattie drove a spectacular 20 yard free kick in the top corner of the net at 36 minutes, his second free kick goal in as many games.

Milltown pressed for the remainder of the first half but several key saves by City goalkeeper Scott Mueller kept the score at 1-1 at the interval.

Tristan Scott put Milltown ahead at 53 minutes, but was ejected eight minutes later after being shown a second yellow card for a violent tackle on London midfielder Genti Dervishi.

A hand ball inside the box at 81 minutes gave London City a chance to tie the game and Anasse Brouk did just that pulling the visiting side even for a 2-2 final score.

London's next game is on the road this Friday, June 22nd at 8:00PM against the Serbian White Eagles.
