After falling behind early for the fifth straight game, London City could not come back as they were defeated 4-0 by a team they tied 1-1 a week earlier. The Serbian White Eagles scored three first half goals for a commanding 3-0 lead at the interval against London City at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke on Friday.
Milos Scepanovic opened the scoring at 2 minutes from a play started by Alex Braletic on the left wing. Scepanovic was allowed the time to turn at the top of the eighteen yard box and blasted a shot past City 'Keeper and Captain Scott Mueller - who had no chance.
A string of bad luck continued for London City as they scored own goal in the 21st minute by Estevao Franco. Franco was pulled back into the play on a defensive mistake and in his effort to clear the ball from harm it was inadvertently put into the back of his own net for a 2-0 score.
Milos Scepanovic made it 3-0 with his second of the game at 27 minutes and that score remained until 92 minutes when Sasa Viciknez struck an outstanding goal from 12 yards for a 4-0 final score.
London City will return to action next Friday night at Cove Road Field at the North York Astros. Game time is 8:38PM.
